  1. I'm somewhat confused at the question your asking because I don't know whether your referring to a 52 week-low or a 52-week high or whether the present price is 3/4 of the 52 week low/high.

    I'll answer the question as it is written. 3/4 = 0.75. In that case, the answer is b, 52.75. You get 0.75 by dividing 100 by 4 (the denominator or the bottom number) which gives 25 and then multiplying that by 3 (the numerator or the top number).

    I could be wrong if I took the wrong part of the question.

  2. What you said, 52p-52 3/4p

    Each share is 52p to sell and 52.75p to buy

    What bit don't you understand?

    The papers etc. would give the middle price of 52.375p

    Unless.... you mean the middle price is 52 3/4 then the answer is b.

    Trouble is a share price/quotation always has two prices Bid & Ask. Stockbrokers and professionals leave of the first bit of the Ask figure. That's what I thought you meant, maybe you do. You dont say 100p-105p you say 100p-5p Not 65p-66p but 65p-6p As you would normally know the currency, in the UK that would be sixty-five six. Just to confuse matters further professionals tend to leave off the 'big figure' so 165p-168p could be said as sixty-five eight.

    If that's the case take my first answer. As I have said before when you are relaying information you have to be very precise, otherwise you could end up getting the wrong deal.

  3. B - 52.75

  4. Based on the information given, there's no way you one could determine the "market price.

    The real "market price" would be the last sale prior to your quote given in the example

    The "quoted market" is $52.00 bid offered at $52.75

    According to your example the stock is quoted

    bid = 52.00 offered at 52,75

    If a buyer comes in, the stock would execute at 52,75 making the last market price 52,75

    But is a seller comes in, the stock would sell at 52.00 making the last market price 52.00

    Have no idea where you got 75.00 or 275.00
