If you're allergic to horses, are you also allergic to zebras?

i get hives when im anywhere near horses. my favorite animal is a zebra. but then i realized they're in the same family thing. so yeh, if ur allergic to horses, is it possible to be allergic to zebras?

Yeah your allergic to both animals because they are both Equines.

Have you ever had the allergen diagnosed?  Maybe it is not really the horse but something associated with horses.  So first find out just how specific your allergy is.  While you are finding out, ask the medical folks your question.  Usually people that have allergies to dogs or cats have that allergy for all breeds.  However, I have a hunting buddy that is allergic to cotton-tailed rabbit fur but not swamp rabbit fur.
