  1. I'm going to answer this seriously.

Nearly all colourblind cases only involve the colours red and green, unless the colourblindness is an extremely rare condition.

I'm pretty sure you're safe with a colour TV license if you're colourblind.

  2. i hpe ur not being disrespectful to people being colour blind and this is a serious question because its not nice making fun of people

  3. If you are "colourblind" you CAN see colour but mix up certain shades. This is unless you are achromatic. This means you have no colour receptors at all, this severely affects your vision so you would be registered blind. If this were the case I'm sure you would have mentioned this, also being registered blind you would know you get a free TV licence.

The answer to your question is no you do not HAVE TO pay for a colour licence, if you look on the TV licence website you'll see that you can have a black and white licence for £47 instead of £139.50, you would only be allowed a black and white TV though.

  4. my sister in law was blind(now deceased) and she got a five pound reduction

  5. Yes you do!

But "Old Farts" like me get it free because we fall asleep while watching it,so it's a cure for insomnia!

    Note for Footprintz123

    £139-50 a year!!!!

  6. Sooo, you have to pay a colour TV licence in the UK ?

    Sheeesh...that sounds weird...

But at least I learned something new today....lol

  7. Yes. If you are BLIND you get it reduced, or free if aged over 75, but colour blindness doesn't count.
