  1. Set traps to catch animals. Look out for edible plants. Make a shelter.

  2. No, don't try to eat grass, Look for berries, fish, try to catch small animals, Find a source of drinkable water, build a shelter and a fire. Learn before you started what plants and roots are edible in the area where you are. Check with your library for survival books

  3. **** that! id kill myself its a lot easier lol

  4. Druk is on the right track.  Water is your primary problem.  If you find running water, don't drink it, dig near the source and wait till it accumulates and drink that since it is more filtered.  If you can boil it that would be best.  Usually you want to stay put but depending on where you are you might go down stream where you usually will find someone.

  5. If you are lost and alone in the wilderness sit down and stay put until the fear, anger, and or frustration has gone from the system.

Collect your thoughts. What do you have that can help you in this situation? Your mind is your greatest survival tool!

Figure out what order you will do things in. Be sure that you do not overcomplicate things. If you are lost in the early spring or late fall, or are at a higher altitude, keeping warm should be your number one priority.

Find or make a shelter against the weather.

Build a fire for heat and signaling.

    Find water.

    Signaling to attract attention.

If injured, first aid has top priority no matter what climate you are in.

  6. The first thing I'd do is find water. Food isn't needed as quickly. Next I'd look around for anything man-made or any signs of roads or trails. If there were none I'd find a trail running north/south and follow it because if animals made it it's close to food and water. To communicate I'd concentrate on building something visible to search crews.

  7. 1.) Ensure I am healthy and uninjured, if I have any cuts, bone breaks, or whatever take care of that first

2.) Establish a shelter that's out of the elements, away from game trails and ideally both water and food are no more than 20 min in any direction

3.) Figure out a way to stay warm or keep cool depending on the weather (fire, insulate my clothes, etc)

4.) Search for a source of potable non-standing water (you should still boil it or filter it through sand and ashes or make a water still)

5.) Search for a source of food (insects, reptiles, and birds are usually safe, easy to get your hands on, and don't require much in terms of traps or tools to catch. If you have the time fish, rodents, and rabbits will provide a better meal, though only eating rabbit will make you sick. Generally eating plants, and fungus are not a good idea unless you can positively identify it, or if you have done the universal eatability test.)

Both the Army Ranger Handbook and the Air Force Search and Rescue Survival Training field manual have a lot of good info on how to survive on your own in the wilderness.

There are a lot of wilderness survival classes you can take, especially in the western US. Though more often than not they teach very simple skills you could learn in scouts.

  8. I would survive because I am a born survivor. I know what plants to eat etc.

  9. i would find altitude first to warn you of any possible dangers

then water then food then build that shelter as high as possible off the ground
