Question:

If you're truly disgusted, will you still vote either D or R again?

Bush versus Gore, Bush versus Kerry, most people voted for the person they considered "the lesser of two evils" - look how that turned out.

Might there be a snowball effect if third party candidates, even combined, get 5-10% of the vote? Might the debates, at least the first 1 or 2, feature third party candidates in 2012? Might that not at least open up the possibility of new ideas?

Does the label "hope and change" or "maverick" slapped onto old ideas really make them new?

  1. Yea, I know what you are saying. Perot was the only 3rd party candidate that I might have voted for, but like the rest, it's a wasted vote.

I like Palin though, and hear she was an independent before she ran in the Rep primary to defeat the good old boys.  Maybe there is some hope for the future!

  2. most people I have heard of that do not like either party in identify themselves as libertarians. Since the choice yesterday I have not heard that.
