california doesn't get the change of seasons like wisconsin does. the air up north in wisconsin is much more clear and fresh as in california is more smoggy. more open space up there, lots of friendly people. time difference.

Weather is the main different. Obviously California's warmer than Wisconsin. California also has more big cities which means more tourist attractions. Wisconsin has some big cities like Milwaukee but not as many tourist attractions (mainly WI Dells). People are friendly in both states and either would be a good choice. California is generally more expensive. Hope I helped! :)
