  1. eat red meats and alternatives like peanut butter (nuts in general)

  2. I'm not a doctor. But it's blood iron. and you should ask your doctor, take iron supplements and avoid milk when taking them, but not altogether. Also, be sure to get your RDA of iron in food, along with vitamin C to help you absorb it.

  3. iron tablets. if you are very anemic than the dr has to prescribe iron tablets with more iron in them.

  4. Iron deficiency anemia can be diagnosed with a simple blood test.  Generally speaking, women experience ida much more than men.  This is very much do the blood loss experienced with menstration each month.  Consult your physician as to the best way to treat your condition.  Normally it is treated by a combination of eating more red meats and leafy vegetables and/or taking an iron supplement.  The problem with IDA is that the red blood cells are too small and have decreased ability to hold hemoglobin (used to carry oxygen in the blood)

  5. Iron defiency anemia is very common and can range from general tiredness to very serious problems associated with any anemia.  The good news is that it is easy to treat.  Those with mild form of iron defiency will be advised to eat foods rich in iron (red meats, dark leafy veggies, etc) and to take over the counter iron pills.  If the anemia is severe, IV iron may be indicated as well as a few days in the hospital...

  6. so, its not called low iron blood....it means you dont have a lot of iron in your blood...they call people like that anemic...you should go to a pharmacy and get iron pills.
