If you've seen the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's could my five year old cousin watch it?

it deals with a loosely moraled woman that's used to being 'kept' by rich men getting involved with a gigolo that moves in next door.  Nicely enough it will be pretty darn hard for a five year old to figure that out considering how subtle all of that is.  Chances are they're going to be bored out of their skulls and the only upsetting part I remember is the cat getting tossed out into the rain (though there is a trashing of an apartment and an arrest of the main character I believe, also referrence to getting married at 14).  Personally I'd skip this one until they were older.  My nephew loved Iron Giant at that age and of course the Veggie Tales, along with most Disney animated movies.

She could, but I don't think it would interest her very much.  I don't think she would understand it.

It would be fine I should think it's a 40 year old movie.  

But I can't imagine a 5 YO sitting still long enough to watch it, or enjoying it, if forced to watch it.

In terms of content, there's not really anything particularly offensive by it (other than Mickey Rooney's somewhat racist portrayal of an Asian person.)  

It was made in the early 60s, when bad language still really wasn't acceptable in American films - so you don't have to worry about that.  No violence, no crude humor.  There is some kissing and stuff like that, but once again it's quite mild.

It's not rated, but I suspect that if it were rated today it would get a PG, at the absolute worst.

In fact, the only thing I would worry about is that he would be bored by it.  It's a lovely movie, but I'm not sure it would be able to keep the attention of a 5-year-old.
