If you've used an Olypus Stylus 850 what's your opinion of it?

My 15 year old niece is going on a 10 day Backpacking trip to Palo Alto Cannon in Texas and the Pecos Mountains in New Mexico. This is pretty rough country and I want something that will hold up to being jostled, possibly exposed to weather since they will be sleeping under the Stars! She takes really good carry of everything and I would like to see her get lots of use out of this particular Camera! Thanks for your opinions!

perfect choice!

Olympus makes tons or durible camera that can withstand so much! it's shock proof which you'd need. water proof, still great to have. and freeze proof. your niece can drop it on the rocks and it'll be just fine.
