Question:

If you abort a baby because he/she is g*y?

Some people and scientists believe that there is a g*y gene. If this is true it would be possible to determine if a baby was g*y in the womb. Now is it a woman’s right to kill or abort the baby simply because the child has the g*y gene? Or would this be a hate crime against the unborn g*y baby?

  1. Its the same kind of irony involved with Gender Selection abortion when a woman gets an abortion because she wants one its natural and its her right and its just a lump of flesh anyway, but when a woman gets an abortion because she is going to have a girl all of a sudden its some kind of great crime and immoral and inhumane

  2. Heaven's no don't abort.

Where would we get great designers.

  3. the way you state it's like aboriton is murder. if it was was then why aren't they arresting people. Now that being said, if i was pregnant and my kid were g*y i wouldn't mind at all. I rather them being g*y then come tell me they they are pregnant or knocked someone up. But that's just me.

It would be a hate crime if that featus took a breath. But it would be immoral to abort for that purpose, just like in China some women would abort if it were a girl. Immoral yes.

edit: Danny you have my permission to alert him...I have his cell number, tell me when you're ready. But he knows, so does my priest and everyone in my parish, my family, oh and even God.

  4. That's ridiculous

  5. I was not aware that there was indeed a gene which predisposes one to homosexuality, but I am not a doctor nor a scientist, so I would not know, however, I am strongly opposed to abortion unless the pregnancy was a result of rape or incest, OR if there were   life-threatening situation for mother and / or child, or some significant malformation of the unborn child.  =P

  6. If they can't find the cause for cancer yet, I think the quest for the g*y gene may get put on the backburner.

And yeah, I think someone would be a tool for murdering a baby that may or may not be g*y (because you'll never find out from a testtube and will have to wait 15 or so years after birth).

  7. It is much more complicated than a g*y gene! And no one can tell if a fetus is going to be g*y in the womb. So no one could do such a thing. And I don't see why you'd want to. g*y isn't a disease or a moral thing. It is a difference.

  8. I think it would be just as reprehensible as aborting a child because it's the wrong gender or it isn't perfectly healthy or any other reason people abort. I don't think killing an unborn baby is an actual "right" - the government sanctions it but IMO that's wrong.

  9. If there is, indeed, a gene which predisposes one to homosexuality, it hasn't yet been identified in the human genome.  I am opposed to abortion of the foetus ("fetus" per American English) except under several case-dependent circumstances which I feel should be a matter between a physician and patient including but not limited to: rape, incest, significant and/or life-threatening foetal malformation/chromosomal anomaly or maternal risk factor.

I don't think that even if a gene which is associated with a proclivity for homosexuality should be the basis for abortion any more than a gene which is associated with a proclivity for obesity (this has already been discovered).

  10. o.0 I'd see that as the same thing as selective s*x abortions.

The difference is in the mind set, one is doing what you have to need to do for what ever reason...the other is out of discrimination.

I do think that the majority of g**s are born g*y, however i doubt it is do to one individual gene.  Let alone one they will easily be able to test for in side of the womb early on.  besides (shutters) can you imagine the type of parents who would be so paranoid of g**s they would do such a test to make this decision.

  11. She can abort if she was planning a ski trip on the due date weekend, if she doesn't want a girl (or boy), or if the kid has the g*y gene.

    Her body, her choice.
