If you accidently backed into a parked car and no one saw would you leave a note or take off?

This happened to me before at a party. I went back inside, found the person who owned the car, had them come outside, and apologize to me in front of everyone who had witnessed the incident.

I think he'll be more careful where he parks in the future.

If there was no damage I'd just leave. Otherwise I'd leave a note.
