If you are 16, than do you have to pay taxes on the money you make?

I won't be making more than 1000 dollars, and I am getting paid by stipends per day.

  1. Congratulations, stipends are generally considered self-employment income and subject to 15.3% payroll tax.  If you only make $1000 for the year, you wouldn't owe income tax.


  2. The only people who do not pay taxes at all are illegal immigrants.
