If you are British would you prefer to be known as a Scot or English or Welsh or Irish or just British?

Could have listed the different countries in any order so please don't think I have any preference

  2. I'm Scottish. I live in Scotland, I was born in Scotland, my parents are Scottish, therefore I am a Scot.

  6. British, the stereotypical view of other nationalities is slightly annoying when you say "English" nowadays. In America a cab driver asked what nationality we are and said "English", he just had a sigh and didn't speak for the rest of the journey.

  7. not British really. When official forms ask for my nationality I usually put English, even though I know it isn't the 'correct answer.

  8. First of all, Ireland is FREE.

    I am English in identity, British in citizenship. I am proud of England, and Wales and Scotland. They are my Homelands, my ancestors are from there.

    Edit : Genetically, I'm Englis, Welsh AND Scottish, so, I don't know.

  9. It annoys me when i have to put british on forms I always go to other and class myself Welsh,

    I'm not British I'm Welsh and Welsh only.

  11. Welsh on forms where it says nationality i put welsh-british because i know if i just put welsh it'll come back saying incorrect which annoys me so much becuase it is a nationality along with scottish, irish, english, etc.. i don't like british.  

  12. My parents had an interesting, if rather bigoted, view of this issue.  When I was looking for my first job, they insisted I put English on my CV (resume) so that prospective employers would know I am white.  Nowadays I prefer British.

      I am an American, of Scott decent, I am Not a Brit.  I am a Scotswoman/woman.   No love of the English here

  15. I am Irish and if someone said to my face "Your British", I would honestly thump them in the face.

    Its not that I have anything against the English, Its just that I feel throughout history England is responsible for more atrocities than Hitler/Ceaser/Napoleon and any other Destroyer the world has seen combined.

       Seriously, the English have a lot to answer for and its something they have never once owned up to, yet they constantly point out every other countries faults.
