career selection is a very deliberate process. Dont get pushy or judgemental. There are several deciding factors :

1. Area of Interest

2. Core competency-- say ur child is good in music, art, maths.....

3. How viable is the career option

4. Level of interest child has

5. Role models in same field

6. Can a child maintain and sustain a good level in that area.

7. Is the child persistent due to his peer.

8. Awareness is the Key word. Make ur child aware, keep urself and ur boss open to his ideas and suggestions. dont disregard any of ur child's opinion.

Help him but not force him.
