Question:

If you are a Top Answerer wouldn't that mean?

You are either addicted to the internet, or not spending nearly as much time with your spouse as you should?

I just think it is ironic that the people giving the most marriage advice out here can't possibly be spending much time with their spouse if they have racked up 10,000 points on Yahoo Answers. LOL!!

  2. Nah, in a healthy marriage, you both have to pursue individual interests.

Having said that, I have recently lost my orange badge due to lack of use on here, ha ha!!

  3. im waiting for my spouse to come over so here i am !

  4. I understand what you're saying, but I'm sure a lot are like me.  Bored at work or on the internet when hubby's away.

  5. Well, I suppose that's one possibility. Or, in my case, I just decided to get online because my husband is in their playing Guitar Hero with my son, and I really don't feel like doing that. Although, I'm not a top contributor so I guess this question doesn't apply to me.

Regardless, some people have been members for a long time and have built up points over that time. Stop being ridiculous!

  6. I've kinda wondered that too...*as my husband sits at one computer, and me on my laptop* *L*

  7. LOL. Yea, kinda. I get what you mean.

  8. Very good observation. This mechanism allows me to see and sometimes help other people which I guess is a Freudian defence mechanism. I enjoy helping some people out...Sometimes I seek help and advice too...

There's also the point system...it may on a low psychological level mean that you are obtaining something...(in reality means little)...so does the "best answer" syndrome. People will chose what closely resembles their truth or their desire of truth which is obscured by each and every distorted person's reality.

  9. My hubby is an over the road truck driver and is gone for 8 days.  I would rather be with him, but that is not possible

    Linda

  10. or they could be at work with nothing better to do...

but yeah i get what your saying

  11. In some cases your point might be well taken.  I'm not a top answerer in any sense, but I surf around on my laptop while my husband sits 5 feet away from me and we watch television and chat.

  12. It doesn't take an hour to answer a question. You would be amazed how many points you can make in a half an hour. I go on here at work and on my breaks at school.
