I'm a soldier and also a veteran. My original vote was with Hilary but now since she is out I'm going for Obama. Not because I think any of these people are the best the American people can get but because I feel Obama is the lesser of 2 evils. I think Mccain is to much like Bush and isn't much smarter on his policy with iraq. I'm not saying Obama is better he has no International Experience but I think that's what we need is a change someone who can see things from a different perspective. But maybe some other opinions will also help in my decision making cause part is ready to not vote at all even though I earned it.

  1. who i am voting for and why is my business and yours is yours

  2. McCain

He reminds me of my CO, tough old Sob who won't take BS from anyone

    McCain for President

  3. I think the fact that McCain was tortured in war, and yet hasn't strongly come out against the white houses current torture policies speaks volumes. According to McCain, to fulfill his presidential goals regarding "national defense', we would need to institute a draft. Obama at least understands that the nature of the problem of terrorism is police work and special forces, not a massive troop presence

  4. I'm voting for McCain and Palin. I don't like McCain, but I think Obama leans to close to socialism and is to naive on foreign affairs.

Sarah Palin makes it easier for me to vote for him.

  5. Mccain because he is the better choice

  6. Al Copone, because when a guy like that puts it to ya, you know it coming.

  7. US Air Force 1968-1974

    Bien Hoa Vietnam 1969-1970

I also support Obama! I have had enough of the Republicans.

What have the done for us in the last 8 years? WAR! record national debt and war profiteering....McBush....No thanks!

  8. dont listen to Obamas manipulative ways, mccain is nothing like bush, obama has no idea how to defend the country, obamas vision of the USA under his presidential term is a reason that obama is dumber than bush, he just has better speaking skills but at least mccain has a little common sense

people dont realize, AMERICA doesnt need DRASTIC change that obama implies he will do, we need subtle change which mccain would provide

  9. McCain.

You don't sit down and sip tea with Terrorists. You take the fight to them.

I'm still curious as to what Obama's so called change is all about since Biden is a DC insider. He is nothing but a Clown.

    McCain/Palin 2008!

  10. Democrats have traditonally been lukewarm, at best, toward the Military.  Regardless of political affliation, when the Democratic controlled Congress has threatened to cut and/or refuse funding for a war in which we are currently involved, my blood runs cold.  It's the "boots on the ground" that suffer while being used as pawns in a political game.  Being able to "see things from a different perspective" is fine - in a debate; but, when a Presidential candidate repeatedly states that he will unconditionally negotiate with our enemies that is pretty much the same as delivering battle plans the day before the battle starts.  Any military strategist will tell you that you base your plans on where you are currently, not where you were or where you wish you were.   I just do not trust change for the sake of change and have neither seen or heard anything from Obama that convinces me that he has anything concrete on which to focus.  Wars are not won by polls or political expediency.  McCain took a political gamble in supporting the surge and, setting aside the reasons we went into Iraq in the first place, the surge is working.  Obama was against the surge but still cannot bring himself to admit that it has been successful.

In the military morale is extremely important; I served in the Army under both Democrat and Republican President's and, from my personal experience, the trust and morale was greater under the Republicans.

Every American, regardless of political affliation, should cast an informed vote; otherwise, the blood of our brothers and sisters in arms will have been spilt in vain.
