If you are a part of law enforcement what do you like best about your career?

Would you recommend your position to students because increasingly you face dangers or have lost a buddy? This goes for firefighters too, I look at them struggle in California every year, it doesn't seem to get any easier. It seems public safety is a rising tide. Blessings.

Both professions are very dangerous.  I would only recommend someone to pursue these careers only if they are truly interested and committed.  If someone isn't interested in being an officer, I would not try to convince them otherwise.

They like conducting strip searches on kids, it helps them get off.

Helping the people who are lawful taxpaying citizens have always been a great reward for me. It's nice to interact and be helpful with such as those. As the population increases so do the amount of crimes. The police agencies in Cal are always dealing with a shortage of officers and high crime constantly. They have it tough. Show them some appreciation by maybe purchasing their lunch for them if you see them at a restaurant. Or walk up to them and say thank you for the job they do for you. This always warmed my heart when I was a patrol officer. I'd recomend it to anyone who wants a rewarding career that's never the same day twice.
