  1. yes you can go, there are "openings" border patrols every few km's.

the Israeli section is way better for tourists.

much better hotels much more to see and do.

there is an international airport just outside tel aviv, less then an hour drive from Jerusalem, really you must come and visit, stunning place and people love tourists and will make you feel very welcome

  2. Yes you can, but it is not advisable

  3. You are aware that kidnapping is just fast money to those guys don't you?

  4. The Western Wall is our Holiest site and where we make Prayer. This is Western Wall:

You are referring to the fence that keeps terrorist out. This is security fence: http://www.securityfence.mod.gov.il/Page...

Yes there are checkpoints with openings but it is not advised for a tourist to travel other side unless there is specific pilgrimage to do other side (check Israel Ministry of Tourism to get details on your specific site.)  If you are talking the fence in Gaza that is 100% not advisable no I don't think you can cross over.

Israel is responsible for security (on both sides) so just listen to Israel and check with them in this regard if you wish to cross thru the security fence.

In Israel you can do many things (whatever you want.) Here is good website to show the diverse things one can do. http://tourism.index.co.il/ Can go fishing, hiking, explore ruins, visit beaches, snow skiing and Holy Sites.  Lots of things! Just have fun to explore.

  5. You can cross if you have a death wish.

The army will not let you go in.

Unless your a Muslim and want to visit your family in Gaza or something, then you'd have to cross the checkpoints.

  6. What wall? There are security fences to slow terrorist attacks from parts of Gaza, Samaria and Judea and going through Jerusalem where the buildings are very close together some areas may have walls to, again, slow terrorist attacks. Of course if you wish to pass to the other side of these fences you may through the openings or guard posts. You will see these as well as the many many journalists and photographers loitering there for make up more anti-Israel (anti-Semitic) stores.
