Look for crabs, crayfish, and other creepy-crawlies.

Scout out the insects -- grasshoppers are very nutritious.

The most important thing would be to find a source of fresh water.  You will die of thirst far quicker than starvation.

If I it doesn't, then i'd use my radio to radio for help. While I wait for help, i'd dig a hole in the sand, put lots of dried wood form the island in it and start a fire so the rescuers know where I am.

If it were truly a desert island, there would be little or no vegetation, animal life, or water - so I'd probably dry up and die. However, if there was enough food and water to survive on, I'd find a way to get back the the USA as soon as possible so I can vote for Hillary Clinton who will be the next President of the United States of America. She is entitled to the job, so we all must vote for her! Go Hillary! Go!
