If you are an employee is it easy to get a wal mart credit card or walmart discover credit card?

Wal-mart has no ownership or input in its branded credit cards.  Employees must qualify like anyone else. GE financial runs the Wal-mart card.

GE money bank owns that is the issuer of the walmart credit card....walmart does not have any control over it.....sorry but that isnt one of our benefits of being a walmart associates...we only get discounts from some companies...but not favortism on credit cards...they still check our credit history and stuff just like everyone else.the link below gives you GE bank rules and stuff for the card

Nope, Just because you are an employee doesn't mean its easy to get, One of my family members applied for a walmart card and got declined even though she works 40+ hours a week at Wal-Mart..

Its all up to GE Money Bank [which is what they use] to determine if you are eligiable for a Walmart Discover, or store card.

Wal-Mart would probably give you one, however, unless you are a full time almost 40 hour employee it might not be a good idea to have one....
