  1. Only if your names Rocky Balboa, did you see Rocky V ?

Now that was a street fight!!

  2. yes, definitely!

  3. If you're fighting an average Joe - Yes

If you're fighting a MMA fighter - No

  4. of course, a trained boxer stands much more of a chance against a regular joe in a street fight, the fight might end up on the ground as it usually does, it can mean a world of hurt if you only know how to fight stand up and its against a mma or wresler since they are not going to be dumb enough to be trading punches with you, and because the boxer might lack takedown defense.

Just to throw this in: Bitting someone is one of the worst things you can do, I see a lot of people suggesting this, true they might let go of you without your teeth penetrating the skin, if not then you might be screwed, a friend of mine bite someone on a street fight, the fight ended with him taking a bite of the guys forearm but he had swallowed some blood, thankfully it ended ok for him, but in lets say a club which most people have

    a. a weapon

b.a lot of friends(which makes wresling useless if you have more friends than the other guy and they help you by kicking the other guy)

    c. probably have deceases

  5. It means that you have more skill than someone with NO skill. An expert at something is better than an expert at nothing. Trained fighter's punches are faster, more accurate, and harder, pound-for-pound, but it won't help them wrestle or kick. Boxing is a SPORT, with RULES, and boxers rely on the rules, which are noexistent on the street. In boxing, if you take a KD, you have 10 seconds to get up. On the street, if you take a KD,you'd better know what to do, or you might die!

  6. Not always, cause what happens when you get your knees kicked out? You get your a** handed to you lol. If boxing was all you needed, people would pay hundreds of dollars for Muai Tai and stuff

  7. Yes, unless they kick you in the groin.

  8. no, street fights anything goes...

    boxing is boxing.

  9. As has been pointed out, it depends on the rules.  If there are no rules, you may be in trouble.  You may be in trouble anyway because a professional boxer's fists are considered lethal weapons.  Unless you are acting in a purely defensive manner, you'd better save your expertise for the ring.

I read an article some years ago about a guy who had a 7th dgree black belt in karate (belts above the 5th are "philosophical" rather than fighting belts).  Asked what he would do if he was threatened by a guy with a knife, he said "Run like h**l!"  In any kind of street fight you don't know what to expect.

  10. No

  11. yes, with some rare exceptions a professional boxer would be able to take on almost anybody who is untrained as a fighter.

You should know that boxers will not take part in street fights b/c doing so would lose them there license which takes away their career and income
