Dire predictions are being made for the future, Does this affect your choice? There is to be less food and water. It all sounds so frightening that I am wondering if it is right to have a generation of children that will have to deal with this.

  1. No.  I just had my third child.  The problems of the world are consequences of people and the paradigms that are accepted.  The only way to solve the major problems is to change the way people think and view the world.  Raising children to not only appreciate but make the environment a part of their lives and ignore things like MTV, fancy clothes/cars/lifestyles, and selfish acts will make a huge difference.  Even if you think it is too late to stop global warming or other problems it will take well educate/creative people of the future to bring a new perspective and original point of view to the problems.  Every kid taught to think and taught respect will have the opportunity to compensate for a hundred others who drain resources and pollutant.

  2. yeah, i think it does affect people's choices to have babies. I think it affects your choice in two ways.

Some people who wish to have babies in the future(who are teenagers at the moment probably) might think its best to have them now cause,at the moment things are not that bad and they would have atleast experienced having kids if the predictions do happen.

The predictions might also hold back people from having kids because they will think about how they might suffer and they wouldn't want that for their kids so they would decide not to have any offspring now.
