If you are bending the head toward the shaft, is it moving upright or flat?

also, if I am too tall for the clubs, should I be bending it toward the shaft?

  1. Upright and yes generally you would want a more upright set up for a taller person.


  2. towards the shaft is upright.

    You might want to move your clubs upright, but be carefull just because you are tall doesn't mean you need to have your clubs bent up. You might have long arms which may have you at standard. - ask a pro for help.

  3. It's more upright.  If you're too tall, the answer may not be bending it upright, but to get longer shaft.

  4. if you bend the head towards the shaft you are making the club more upright.  Yes, if you are tall, generally you need your clubs to be more upright.  This depends on arm length and path of your swing, but as a general rule you will need more upright clubs as well as longer clubs if you are tall.

    Pros will have what is called a "lie board" that you can hit balls off of.  You put contact tape on the bottom of the irons and hit balls off this plastic board to see if you are needing to go flatter or more upright with respect to your swing.
