  1. you will not be joining the military if you are bipolar.  EVER.

  2. If you are bi-polar no you can not join.

  3. If you are bipolar, you will NOT join the military.

  4. I believe you're asking whether a person with Bipolar Disorder can join the military.

If the person who is looking to enlist has been medicated for Bipolar Disorder within the last 12 months, the answer is no.  However, if a doctor orders the person off of medication, the person can wait for 12 months and enlist, provided that they have documentation that the medication was stopped and the disorder has shown improvement.  The person may have to submit to a psychological evaluation as well.

  5. If you have a formal diagnosis of bipolar disease, you are automatically disqualified from enlisting.

  6. If they can prove that you're able to function without your medication, maybe. The thing is, if you're bipolar, why would you want to be in such a strict institution? Plus, if it gets worse, they can refuse to help you, stating that it's a pre-existing condition. You could say things as part of being bipolar and get yourself into trouble, get demoted, stuff like that...basically, you'll be making your life harder for no reason.

  7. Bi-polar disorder is a permanent and non waiver-able disqualification from military service.
