  1. you are from where you are Born.

  2. English.

  3. its your blood that counts. you could be born in the atlantic but does that make you atlantis?!

  4. A person's race at birth is the same as that of their parents.  If both your parents are English, then so too are you.

A person's nationality is usually that of the country of their birth.

I am Welsh by race, a Brythonic Celt, as were my parents and their parants and our ancestors going back thousands of years.  However, being born in Birmingham England, does not make me English but it does allow me to say I am British.

    Hope that's clear.

You are the race of your birth but you can choose your nationality.

  5. or English of French ?

You can choose your nationality in this case - many people in this position choose dual nationality

  6. Depends on how and where you were brought up. My sister was born in Germany, I was born in England. Our parents were born in England as were our grandparents and great grandparents. She is English and was brought up as English.

On the other hand I have a French mate, born in France to a Swiss father and an Egyptian mother. He sees himself as french and was brought up as French. It is not just about where you were born.

  7. If  the parents (or Mother if shes not married ) are British  then no matter where the child is born it is British.I don`t know about French nationality laws every country has their own law

to be English  i think the child would need to be born in England of British parent/parents

  8. If your parents are British you`re British ,no matter where you`re born you are STILL British if BOTH parents are British.

  9. French

  10. If you are born in France, you are a French Citizen, unless your parents were there only on a short stop and they were both English citizens.  It is up to English law if you are a citizen there as well.  But if you are born in France you are French.  My ex-husband had French parents who taught in the USA, and his parents went to France in order for their babies to be born there, and they were legally French Citizens with automatic Green Cards.  He later had to take the citizenship test to become an American citizen.

  11. You can be both, if you were born in France, but your parents are both British born then you can apply for status through your parents.

However at the moment you are classed as French, as you were born there.

  12. both, you can apply for a passport in the country you were born and in the country where your parents were born.

  13. if you were born in France and not resided in France (but a few years while a child) and now living in the UK , you are an UK citizen only,

now, have you lived long enough in France, and trough your birth and residence in France, at least long enough to qualify for french citizenship before,

but you went back to the UK? you could have become a french citizen, (before the legal age 18),

but what you omitted to mention?

where have you resided? and where are you now residing?

if you are in the UK? you are an UK citizen only.

some children born into another country, by foreigners living in the country can have both citizenship, even if they never step foot in the parents original country,

but the parents, must declare the birth of their child in the consulat of their country , in the birth country of the children,

    of the other way around..........

  14. French, only those born to British forces stationed overeas are exempt. Or those born on a UK aircraft over foreign lands

  15. You can get a passport from Paris Embassy. You could be British without speaking English or ever visiting the country!
