Question:

If you are charged with a crime, do you expect to be treated like Kwame?

The Detroit Free Press is reporting that Kwame is so desperate to avoid a jail sentence he is asking for an impartial "elder statesman" to step in and convince the prosecutor not to require him to go to jail. This is ridiculous and totally undermines our criminal justice system. The proper procedure is if you reject the offer the prosecution gave you and further negotiations end in a stalemate, you proceed to trial.

Do you expect to be treated the same way if you are ever charged with a crime? What kind of legal precedence could this set if Kwame is successful?

  1. I don't think its fair to the city for what he is doing to Detroit. Nothing is being done, and Detroiters are tired of Kwames lies. I just hope Governor Granholm does the right thing this week.

  2. No, I don't expect to be treated like the ruling class.

They are the elites and don't suffer under the same tyranny we common people do.

I expect the cops to step on the handcuff, beat me bloody and tell the judge I attacked them.

I expect the DA to make an example of me and give me the longest sentence possible.

"It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate one..."

  3. Who is Kwame? I never heard of this person. If he is someone with some fame, it should not matter. This person is like anybody else, and should be treated as such.
