  1. Using common sense, I would say just the store that you got caught shoplifting at could ban you, not the whole mall.

  2. Yes.  First, the individual shop owners have the right to ban you, as it's they're store.  Second, whoever owns the mall has the right to ban you from the mall in general as, again, they own it.

Don't steal and they won't ban you.  Good luck though.

  3. yeah sure they can.  and don't come over here either.  had you have said a can of stew at the supermarket, it would be different; i respect the laws of nature over the laws of man.  but it was probably earrings or something shiny.

you need to think about this, and take it as a wake up call.  people will not tolerate this behavior.

  4. yes, any shop pwner anywhere has the right to refuse to serve anyone at anytime.  usually in a case like that it isnt the individual stores that ban u, but the mall itself, which would keep you form going into the mall at all including all of the shops in it.

  5. Yes!  They certainly can.

Different shopping malls have different policies, so be sure to check with the one you were caught shoplifting in.  That is, if you want to check.  To be honest, unless you were a frequent offender with a huge criminal record, the rest of the mall is not going to know you by face and they're not likely to ask you to leave.

I'd still stay away from Sears, though.

  6. Me and my two buddies were in a mall (in IL) and the security guards caught my buddy stealing. since all three of us were together we all went down. My buddy served community service and a 1 yr ban from the mall and the malls outside properties like the restaurants. me and my other buddy got slammed with a   1 yr ban too just because we were with him.

  7. I don't think the the whole mall would ban you, though if I were in your situation I would stay out of sears and shop around wearing a hat and sunglasses. Remember next time--no money? Use a Visa
