Do you see any differences in our cultures? I have seen some nice things in others. Some other cultures seem to be more polite than mine.

  1. I'm Asian American. I was born from another country, but I was raised here in U.S.A.  I see different races here in U.S.A everywhere I go I see different people from a different races they kind of have their own town and businesses to deal with people from the same race. When they go to work they Speak English some of them still have accents. I realized that all American are different races. Indians was the first settlers who found this land then English came and so Europeans that's why the majority of people in u.s are Caucasians some of the Caucasians people still think that only Caucasians are American that's is wrong because America is a melting pot and America is the land of the free.

  2. Nothing at all! From yahoo answers.

I am from UK, whatever preconceived ideas I may have had about Americans would not have changed at all by being a part of this forum.

Cultures? If you are asking about different cultures from the UK then this is a far too general question to answer, because you really know very little about ours, we really know very little about yours.

We think we know each others cultures, we really don't, we have a general idea only

                                For example:-

I worked with Americans in many parts of the world,  Started off by reading an ad' for 'Control Engineers Required' for Saudi Arabia, it was from Westinghouse turbines. Houston Texas.I got an interview in London, I live in Scotland a long way off.

The money on offer was over 3 times my present salary, no tax to pay etc etc, I have a degree in my subject, the guy that interviewed me had no idea what the job was all about, he sat at a large desk with his big stetson hat on and big boots resting on the desk, he asked a few basic questions and told me he would send me to Houston for further training!

OK I did all that , got well paid for it.

I ended up in Saudi with lots of Americans from all over the USA., I have been to many other places along with Americans, they are all diverse , as we are in the UK !

So in general I like all Americans, because I can understand most of them, I like some more than others!

I like the more down to earth type like Louiseana folk.

But the same applies to my feelings about the UK.

So not a very consive answer but the best I can do at the moment.

  3. i notice that they reinforce all the stereotypes that they are labelled as (there are cool americans here though).
