  1. If your grateful for something, you're glad to have it whether you like it or not. It doesn't mean you dont want to change it. It's human nature to want to better what you have. To make your surroundings more pleasant. I have a war buddy that lost a leg in Iraq. He's grateful that that was ALL he lost. He made his life better with a prosthesis. He doen't like it but he's grateful he can walk. I hope this helps.

  2. hmm..thatz complicated..

I think along with appreciating what we have,we also have to work towards keeping those blessings alive.Otherwise,it would be wrong on our part..We are blessed and its our duty to keep it moving..

Salam kinza.Sorry for not replying to mail u sent me few days back.I haven't chkd mail since long..sorry again

  3. Of course in that case I would be grateful for the home, and I would want to improve it and take care of it by fixing the roof.

I will go further.  I might be grateful for the leak in the roof, because it gave me the opportunity to learn how to fix it.  Then I would be better prepared for future leaks, or for helping my neighbor whose roof leaks.

  4. yes you can, example, i get hit by a bus and survive, i am grateful.

  5. no it doesnt mean that....it means you are humble and content with what you have and try to make the best out of it,.

  6. Well that doesn't necessarily mean that you don't want to or want to change it. If you appreciate it a lot in your situaion, and you feel that you don't want to chane it, then don't change it. But if you are greatfull for it but you think that there is a problem with it and you want to change it or something about it eg. girlfriend's or boyfriend's bad attitude, then it would be best to come up with a great solution to change it.

  7. Jesus, Father Son and Holy Spirit is more in control of our lives than we imagine.  A person who is extremely self centered can reject the constant onslaught of Graces that teaches these fundemental truths.

Pain makes men think.  Thinking makes men wise.  Wisdom makes the pain endurable.

Teahouse of August Moon by James Michner.

Trials, tribulations and pain are gifts from God.  We can either curse the pain, giving credit to Satan or we can offer up our pain for the relief of those who are suffering elsewhere.  The more one ages, the more aches and pains we accumulate.  Because I am a Roman Catholic, I believe that my sufferings are of spiritual value to the souls in Purgatory, those suffering more than I and for the intention of the Pope as well as many people holier than I.

  8. Of course it's good to always be grateful.  It's important to understand that while you don't have as much as some people, you have a lot more than some others.  You have to be aware and thankful for what you have but not be complacent; you must always move forward.

  9. We should still be grateful with what we have that doesn't mean we can't change it for our own good and others, everyone has desires it's only the desire in excess which brings people down.

    Assalamu alaikum wb
