I will be visiting for 2 weeks. If you have been somewhere and you know it is a well known place - but not worth going to, please let me know. We don't mind traveling, so wherever is fine. Not one particular area. We will be there in November if that limits a touristy place please let me know that too. Thank you for any help.

  1. My two favorite places in Germany were Rothenburg and Neuschwanstein.

  2. you have got to check out würzburg and the other two places this guy just mentioned Stuttgart,nürnberg are all pretty close to Frankfurt if your going in the end of November you can visit some of the famous x-mas markets

  3. If you are interested in having fun and drinking german beer, I would recommend Duesseldorf. In germany we call it "Die laengste Theke der Welt" - what is translated to english "The longest bar of the world", because of the huge number of pubs. Duesseldorf is also close to the "Ruhrgebiet", which is the biggest urban agglomeration in germany. You have various opportunities of recreation activities.
