  1. Who thumbs downed UCANTCME?....he's right.

Unless you are caught in a major fog or sand storm or something....everyone pays except for the guy in front.

The reason for that is.....all the people behind the first car....forgot how far they are suppose to travel behind the vehicle in front of them.

If they observed the right distance for the conditions of the road at the time....there wouldn't be a chain reaction accident in the first place.

  2. Everyone pays for the vehicle that they hit from behind except for the first person.....................

  3. the one at fault

  4. if the cars are stopped at a red light and a car hits the last car from behind, the car that hit the last car is at fault for all the damages.

things change if the cars are in motion.

  5. Whoever didn't die has to pay. In the event everyone dies, they just throw everything away and call it a day.

  6. Depends on how it happened. If traffic is stopped at a light and car A hits car B which hits car C, car A is responsible for the whole thing. If traffic is moving and car A hits the brakes and car B hits it and then car C hits B, then B is responsible for the damage to A and C for the damage to B (and possibly A if it is determined that the C to B collision caused further damage to A).
