  1. Since Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is an organization founded by and for college educated women, then there would be no high school version for high school students. If you are referring to programs sponsored by Delta chapters intended for school age girls, however - I would strongly discourage emulating any of the outward social symbols of sorority membership such as calls, handsigns, etc (however unofficial they may be).

And my emphasis with this advice is not because it will likely harm your prospects of becoming a member of ANY black greek sorority, should you aspire to do so when that time comes. But it is because these programs that reach out to young women are intended to educate, build self esteem, and provide meaningful preparation and interactions with positive role models - NOT be a precursor to the superficial aspects or sorority life. It is simply a waste of valuable programming and an investment in our youth to use those programs in that way, when there are things so much more important to your achievement and development at that stage.

And so, while my answer is "yes", because you have your own free will and no one can probably prevent you from using a Delta sign . . . my advice is "NO", for your own benefit, and in more ways than one.

Good luck, and I wish you much success for this coming school year!
