  1. Garfield, it is difficult to see stars from an aircraft due to the inside lights. It seems that there is always someone close to you that has to have the overhead light on. If you can get it dark around you, the stars can be seen, but it is much easier to go away from lights on the ground, and take a pair of binoculars and really see them!

    Regards,

    Dan

  2. You are sourounded my clouds, so no unfortunaltly you can't see the planes. :( Good try though! :D

  3. No you can't see the stars

  4. Only about 30,000 feet closer, if flying at night. <}:-})

  5. actually YES, the night view is beautiful. (however, that is IF your flight is flying over night. (however, it must be at the right time, and be dim in the plane it self.)

The stars arn't "closer" or "bigger" they are just a lot more and maybe brighter. The plane flys above a lot of clouds, so you get to see a lot more stars that you usually don't see.

  6. It depends, sometimes you can, sometimes you cant, i suggest bringing a camera and turning it off from flash, because i saw a sunrise on a plane and it was by far the most amazing sunrise ive ever seen, because the clouds cant block any of it, i suspect that it would apply for stars too. But no the stars wont be closer, the sun in the only star in our solar system, the closest one besides it is lightyears away. But you will be able to see them more clearly and you'll see more of them because you too far above the cities for the lights to polute the night sky, so many stars are hidden every day because the stars at night, thats why during a blackout, there seems to be many more stars. If you're in a blackout and a neighboring city isn't, you can really see how much light polution there is. I live in a small town, and when we had a blackout, i stared out the window (about 1:00 am) and there was a huge orange line on the horizon all caused from the city next to us.
