As a professional driver, it's hard to say.  In winter conditions, every once in the while my rear end tend to break to the left or right.  Today, my vehicle has four wheel anti lock brakes.  In the past, I would let off the brakes, and make no sudden moves with the steering wheel.  I would then lightly apply the brakes to slow the vehicle down.  

    My final answer would be to drive out of the skid lightly on the brakes not trying to over correct with the steering wheel.
