If you are looking for another job because you suspect termination, should you tell your boss?

I suspect my boss will have me terminated soon. Should I tell him I am looking for another job or keep quiet?

No, keep quiet until you find another job then give them notice and leave.

No, because if you are on the chopping block, they'll just fire you even sooner. Once you have an offer from a new job, then tell them. If they actually aren't planning on firing you, they may offer you more pay or something to keep you on with the threat of losing you.

Don't tell him, he might get rid of you sooner, before you have another job lined up.  Wait until you are sure you have a job lined up.
