If you are married....what was your wedding song for the 1st dance?

....and why??

ours was 'Nothing's Gonna Stop Us' by StarShip (many years ago!!)...we chose that because we had a few problems to start with...why did you chose your song...just curious - thank you for any serious answers from married peeps!!

  6. IF we would have danced it would have been REO Speedwagon's Can't fight this feeling... also many years ago.  Instead after our church reception the adults all went to a hotel bar where a person I knew was the entertainment - our "entrance" music was the funeral march :)...

    We picked this song because when I started dating my husband I wanted to impress him (he is a big Peter Gabriel fan) so I kept rewinding a tape to this song in my car while I was waiting for him so it would be playing when he got in the car!

    This song fits perfectly for a wedding...we got married just over 3 months ago!

    We had that as it is a great song and different to the usual soppy songs you have at weddings. We also had a dance choreographed to it which went down a treat

    I had always loved the song, the lyrics are perfect.  Since before I met my husband, I had wanted this to be my first dance at my wedding.  Luckily, my husband isn't much for romantic/slow songs, so he was more than happy to give me my choice.  Plus, he really loved it when he heard it.

    He chose our last song.  It took some doing to get him to pick, but we danced to "From this Moment" by Shania Twain/Brian White.

  25. During the ceremony the song DARLIN' by The Osmonds played in the background, for our first dance it was LONGER by Dan Fogelberg.

  27. We didn't have the first dance - our wedding was very informal and outdoors for one, and two, my husband doesn't dance. If I was to choose the first dance song, I would choose "Twilight Time" by the Platters or "Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton. I simply really like these songs and artists.
