  1. Their dedication, now if only they could use it for something useful, like curing world hunger, finding greener fuels, saving endangered species, instead of praying for someone *else* to do it for them.

    Actions speak louder than prayers.

  2. those little old christian ladies can really cook up some good food.

  3. i appreciate their strong family values.

  4. The Christians I know in real life, and many I've met on here, are very Christlike. They do not judge, they are helpful and kind. I love that about them.

It's the ones who forget about the "Christ" in Christianity that make me sick.

  5. Wait......I'm thinking......

  6. There's not much to admire about christianity. Really nothing I see good about it

  7. i admire how someone can stay so deluded in the face of reality.

  8. their robust abilities of self-delusion and denial.  Life must be so much easier living without a window to reality.

  9. I admire the ones that are able to keep their mouths shut and not shove their religion down my throat.

  10. With some of them, their willingness to live their life the way their religion told them and their kindness.

  11. Well, they have this faith. It's cute. Death scares me s**tless and I have a hard time accepting it. With faith, these guys trust a book and believe there is an escape to this insanitable doom.

Plus, some cannot have morality without religion, some are needed to be striken by fear so they will not injure their fellow man... and that's nice.

But I always loathed extemists... religious or not.

  12. methodists put on great suppers

  13. Their incredibly shallow logic and wild imaginations which enable them to believe the clearly implausible accounts offered in the bible.

  14. Honestly, nothing.  I don't think that Christianity is of any net benefit to it's believers or the world.  There is a lot of charity done in the name of the religion, of course, but much of it is tainted by proselytizing and that some charity could just as easily be (and, in mane cases, is) done by a secular organization.

The christians I know that I admire most are those who don't judge others by their irrational beliefs and who are open-minded, which is really just a way of saying those who manage to not be a jerk about their religion.

  15. lol, why are you giving them an invitation to pour out their hatred on you?

By the way, isn't this an adorable example of how tolerant, compassionate and open minded atheists are?

  16. Their persistence and pride. Other than that....NOTHING

  17. What compelled you to ask this sort of question? How vain of you..

  18. The crackers and wine.

  19. Hot cross buns... that is all.

  20. I admire true Christians (I don't really consider the stereotyprical fundamentalists or evangelicals as true christians) for following their beliefs despite being made fun of.  I admire the people who are compassionate, holy, and do good things for the world.  I admire the Mother Theresas, the Francis of Assisis, the Maximilian Kolbes.  There are good Christians out there, but in this day and age, they don't seem to be recognized.  I think this is because the honorable, holy, true Christian probably remains quiet.  He/She probably tries to show by example, not by being preachy and loud.  The other ones, the ones who try to shove their religion down everyones throats - they give a bad name to Christianity.

It's like the quote by Mahatma Gandhi - "I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ."

But the Christians who are truly like Christ, I greatly admire.

  21. I can't say that I admire "Christians" in General.

I admire different people for different reasons and none of those reason involve their religions.

  22. I admire their ability to not just walk away from a religion abused by so many for personal gain.

Seriously, if I were a Christian and my religion was being used to tell me who to vote for and what to buy and what war to support, I'd walk away.

  23. They wear nice shoes.

  24. Their gullibility -- we atheists need to have SOMEbody to take advantage of...

  25. 'they' are not all the same but i have met many christians with a generous, open heart and loving ways.  i admire those people.  i admire people who are making an effort to do the right thing, who are searching their hearts and trying to be morally good.  it's a journey and many christians are trying very hard, just like people of other religions or athiests.  i have met many wonderful christians.  and some who are not quite so far along the path.  i honor the place that each human is right now.
