  1. yes and it is scrummy, the brown jelly is the meat juices that sink to the bottom of the bowl, and the white dripping is the fat the congeals on the top. nice on toast too.

    or hard crusty bread dipped in hot beef broth  juice (au jue or something like that)

  4. I am British and I love dripping on bread.  There's always a rush to the fridge the morning after doing a roast dinner to see who can get to it first.  One of life's great tastes.

  5. I am British and I've never had bread and dripping - I thought people stopped eating that after rationing ended in the 50s.  Don't know what you mean by "brown jelly" either - unless you're talking about Branston Pickle.
