  1. I don't know if there is an official time frame or not, but I always just let them know at the beginning of the month that i would be moving out by the beginning of the next month. It always worked out ok for me, and if they required first, last and/or security when i moved in, then the last month is already paid and that's extra money in the pocket for the move.


  2. you still should give the courtesy and give them at least a months notice...

    some states say 2 weeks at the minimum..

  3. you need to check your rental agreement first.  if it is not mentioned in your rental agreement, then the rule of thumb is a 30-day notice.

  4. In PA it would be 30 days. Check the laws of your state by going to landlord/tenant laws on your computer.

  5. Look up your state's landlord tenant laws.

    Generally, it is one full rental month's notice, but it does vary from state to state.

  6. I know on my month to month lease i was suppose to give 1 month notice before moving out
