If you are older than 13 in the state of California is it your choice in a custidy battle??

I am 15 we live in california and me and my dad are trying to move to Missouri and my mom is going to try and make me stay with her.. Is it my choice or no?

Well I'm not sure what the age limit that would be..

do you live with your dad most of the time? or your mom?

You can ask your social worker i'm assuming that you have one of them? best of luck

i think it is your choice and should be your choice dont let your mom take you away from your dad i remember my dad told me once that if he moves to florida that i am gonna go with him and he knows how loyal and happy i am around my mom and i totally was glad we just stayed in the state where i was and ever since that stuff happend i was allways trying to get back under moms custody because i wanna be around her and guess what it worked and im alot happyer

I'm pretty sure its still the judges choice but if your over 13 they will take what you say/want  into consideration.
