If you are on Medicaid in Georgia and you get on your dad's insurance, do they kick you off?

My step-son has medicaid insurance through his mom. The new court custody order tells my husband that he has to get insurance on his son. So I guess my question is, now that my step son has "real" insurance does the 5 year old get kicked off the freebie governement insurance that had no co-pays? Or does it go to secondary insurance?

The Mcaid would terminate on the date that his coverage began with the new company.
