  1. It would depend on how overweight you are.  Each branch of service permits new recruits to be up to a certain weight.  If you fall within that weight, not exactly sure what it is, but you have to be within that window just to join.  They'll take care of the rest of those excess pounds in basic training.  Check with a recruiter on the Air Force's weight limit for you height.

  2. If you are over weight they will not accept you.

  3. Please read.

  4. Overweight or obese?  Basically there is a limit to the percentage of body fat allowed when enlisting.  If there is no improvement then you will be separated from the Air Force.  If you are morbidly obese than you will not be allowed to enlist and back in the day you would be considered 4F.

  5. Yep. If you can pass a physical and score well on a PT test they will let you join. They'll give you a physical and put you through training. Many military people are over weight due to muscle mass. If you are overweight due to lack of physical training or activity and if you don't improve during training, you will be "kicked out".

    Good luck

  6. No the Air Force will not let you enlist...

The AF is very picky who they enlist...

  7. you must be within weight standards to ship.  depending on how much you are overweight, the recruiter may not permit you to do the preliminary stuff until you are within standards.
