If you are petitioned by your mother who is an immigrant in the US,?

and your single ...when the petition come and visa comes...you already are married ...will the consul deny you for that? will you get your family with you?

  1. your mother is supposed to inform USCIS or NVC whenever your status changed. if you are married before you receive your visa and enter the US, then that visa no longer is valid. you need to reapply with the proper information.

    if you choose to enter the US with it.... it is called visa fraud and you put your legal status in jeopardy. you will not be able to bring your family to the US and you will possibly even be deported.


  2. when your mother petitions for you and you are under 21 your classified as a child, but when you are married you are then transferred to a different category which will mean more time for processing.
