If you are pro-choice/abortion and have kids...quick question...?

At one point, from the time you found out you were pregnant to the time of delivery, did you feel that your child had human rights and deserved the same chance at life that you had?

Just answers...minus the personal attacks on me for asking...would be great!

Thanks

  1. Not until the baby was alive. I would have morned a still birth or a miscarriage but that stuff happens with regularity. Are those murder, as well.

  2. A fetus is not a child so there's no way to answer a question that is based on a false assumption.

All babies have human rights, because the law defines a "baby" as a living human that can live independantly outside the mother's womb.

Anytime and anything before that is between the mother and her doctor.

  3. Yes, certainly, as soon as she was a child, and not a part of her mother.

A good question would by when anti-choice people feel that women lose their human rights.

  4. Human rights belong to sentient humans ... beings who are conscious, aware, thinking.  The brain must be formed and functioning.  "Protecting the rights" of vegetative humans like Terri Shiavo or early stage fetuses seems ridiculous when you stop & think about how allegedly "Pro-Life" people have no conscience about murdering fully sentient fellow human beings overseas in the name of war. It just doesn't make sense.

Animals are also sentient and deserve rights.  People who claim to be "Pro-Life" are often the same people who eat the flesh of animals who were fully conscious and aware when they were killed.  How can you worry about a fetal blob with no brain, and then sit down and eat a rare steak that oozes blood?.

If someone is truly Pro-Life, they would actually protect the lives of conscious beings and stop being focused on the deliberately fabricated distractions of divisive politics.

I am Pro-Choice, but Anti-War and I don't eat meat.  For me, being Pro-Choice also means being Pro-Child ... refusing to force others to bring a child into this world where he or she may be unwanted, abused, neglected or in danger of other terrible harm.

My child was wanted.  During pregnancy, a mother gets a sense of when the life comes into the baby.  While it is still a tiny fish-like fetus, there is no true sense of sentient life.

  5. My 2 year-old cannot live independently.  She gets food in her hair,

s**+ts her pants, plays with knives if she can get them, and will eat dangerous materials and drink liquids, the reason fro child-proof locks and can lids.

    IMO, yes the child does.

You can abort on one hand but a fetus that is killed, say by gunfire, is considered human and the shooter is charged doubly.  How is that?

  6. At birth, when the baby was an entity separate from the mother and no longer part of her, did I feel she was a human and no longer a fetus.

    Hope this helps you.

  7. No
