  1. No. We took a cruise from NYC to Halifax, St Johns, etc.

    and used US currency and credit cards all the way.

    It's a delightful cruise.

    We went on Carnival's Victory.


  2. No, I went on a cruise from Boston to St. Johns, and Halifax on RCCL's Jewel of the seas. We used American money the whole time. There's no need to convert the money, considering you'd still be near the US.
