  1. sabathia's the better and more expensive option.

it depends on what the brewers are trying to do.

spend more money to lock up a solid top 3 ace in the game? go with sabathia

save some money on a guy that can be just as good but isn't as proven and is much more injury prone?

    go with sheets.

  2. Sabathia without a question...He'll be asking for a huge contact that theirs no way the Brewers are matching...They'll be lucky if they can even re-sign Sheets.

  3. Sabathia because he is alot better pitcher, but it would be hard to not go after Sheets because he has been a life long Brewer.

  4. Go with Sabathia- Sheets gets hurt to much.

  5. If I were them, I'd keep Sheets. I think Sheets is possibly the best pitcher in baseball when he's healthy.

  6. a cardinals fan, but i keep up a lot with the central division. Sabathia and Sheets will almost definitely both be gone. If they do not sign either, the brew crew will have 5 of the first 35 picks int he upcoming draft. That is unheard of, and they would be stupid not to pounce on those picks and give up sabathia and sheets who will both demand a boatload of money and 4-6 year deals.  But if you have to keep 1, go with sabathia. He was pretty dominant in the AL, but will only get better in the NL without a DH to mess with

  7. Sabathia is better, but he'll be demanding a huge contract that the Brewers will probably shy away from. Sheets is probably the best bet.

  8. Sabbathia for sure. He's 3-0 with them and his last 3 starts have been CGs. I would definetly keep him I mean he's only a year removed from being the Cy Young winner. Why wouldn't you keep him? He's already a fan favorite and he's given the Brew Crew motivation to play better for him.

  9. As a die hard brewer's fan I would love to keep both, but we all know that is highly unlikely.  Even keeping either Sabathia or Sheets is a push, but I would like to keep Sabathia here in Milwaukee.

Don't get me wrong, I love Ben Sheets, but throughout his career he has not been able to stay healthy. If you keep him you are risking the chanse of him getting hurt again, although this year he has done very, very well and has proven to be strong.

Since the brewer's got Sabathia with the trade on July 7th, Milwaukee has been nothing but cheers.  I was actually at the game the day the brewer's acquired him and he got a huge standing ovation that lasted the entire commercial break.  He has 3 Complete games with the brewers and a 4-0 record with them so far.  Although his first outing wasn't spectacular, it wasn't upsetting.  Miller park was electric that night and to no surprise Sabathia was a little nervous and jittery.  He has been able to make good hitters look bad, and can swing the bat a little bit himself!
