If you aren't getting anywhere in a birth mother search....?

Here's my problem: I hired an investigator a year ago to find my birth parents.She found my bfather in Bradford Pa where I was born. After the paternity test proved he was my father he promised to help locate my bmother( he claims he didn't know she was pregnant with me because she didn't tell him. Don't know any 17 year old teenager that won't tell the guy who knocked her up. They also lived in a small town where people are worse than a knitting circle) and after he found out he was my father he changed his mind because he could get into trouble for looking into Police files( he's a police officer). He told me a lot of things that I really question and it's still important to find my bmother so I can get her side of things. Haven't met yet, planned to but I think he's flakin. Didn't even bother calling my 7 yr old son back on Easter. Not talked in a month.Is it devious to put an ad in the newspaper where I was born for info including her name and his? May still be family on her side.

Sounds like he is being evasive. If I were you, I would "keep on keepin' on"....continue to do whatever you can to find out what is righfully yours, your biological information. It appears to me from your description, that he is hiding something, or fearful of something?

In any case, papers, internet, phone books, whatever you need to do, I say do it. Good Luck to you.

hello ,, i hope you are doing ok,, I found my birthmother on my own,, just with her name,, it was a very tedious process, but I started with the white pages of her last name,, its a long shot, but you might could find someone who knows her. Hi Jess, so you know her name ? there are a lot of investigation agencys that can track people down

Also have you googled her name ?

Have you put it into Genes reunited

If you know her name and DOB email me via yahoo and I will see what i can come up with via the net, might be nothing but might be something..

You would be suprised how many girls dont tell the fella they slept with that they are pregnant.

If he's a police officer and has all the details of her surely he can locate her ?

Also just because you find your birth parent it doesnt mean that they will embrace you and your family into their life.

I found my birth mother 10 years ago, my daughter and son have never had a birthday card even..

Be relentless in your search. And never give up. Most police officers I have met or had dealings with deal with criminals and orders well and with no fear... but when it comes to personal matters.. and things of complexity they tend not to be as... fearless.

And many of the times when people flake out over something like this.. it's cause they have something to hide....

I bet damb well he knew about you... cop or not he is only human..
