I was wondering in arm wrestling does it take pure strength or does it take endurance. I'm not the greatest arm wrestler in the world. So does that mean all those guys that are better are stronger. Does that mean in weight lifting they could lift more. That's another thing im pretty strong when it comes to weight lifting but arm wrestling im screwed. I've noticed it hurts my wrist to. Everybody at my school thinks if you want to see how strong somebody is they do it in arm wrestling.

  1. arm wrestling needs a strong wrist muscle but i doesn't mean one who is a strong arm wrestler would excel in bench press or weight lifting.

i can't single-handedly lift a sack of rice onto my shoulder but for a skinny porter who has been at it is easy for him. ..

  2. You cannot make any general statement about anyone's "strength" based on arm wrestling prowess.  Arm wrestling makes use of specific muscles like pectoralis in the chest, biceps in the upper arm, and wrist & hand flexors in the forearm. The weakest of these muscles determines the final outcome. If the flexors in your forearm are not strong enough, they allow the wrist to be pushed back causing pain.

  3. Arm wrestling only uses certain muscles in your arms. Overall it doesn’t indicate how strong you are.

  4. NO .. A VERY STRONG PERSON , DOES NOT HAVE TO BE GOOD AT ARM WRESTLING.. ITS YOUR WRIST THAT HAS TO BE GOOD FOR ARM WRESTLE.. NOT YOUR MUSCLES OR FITNESS OR ENDURANCE.. HOPE THIS HELPED
