Ammonium nitrate has been used as a blasting agent in the mining industry for years before Timothy McVeigh ever thought of using it. And yes it will make your grass greener also!

depends on how much you want to buy--as a fertilizer i will really green up your lawn--you can buy it at most any nursery but not in large quanties
