Subway just ran out of their foam cups and refused to give me a regular sized cup of water with my sandwich.

  1. They did that because some people say they want water but really fill the cups up with soda so they give people who ask for water plain cups.

However, it wasn't your fault they were out of the water cups so I would call their 1-800 customer service number, if you can't get anywhere with the store manager.

  2. We are not required to give out water, but I have never refused Water to someone.

  3. I think they are required to give you water.  The foam cups are free, but they have to charge you for the regular sized cup, even though the water is free.  It's due to costs of running the business.  McDonald's is like that too, you can get up to a small sized cup with tap water, but above that size they have to charge you for the cup.

  4. yes they should water is 100% free and should provide that

  5. You might have to pay for it

  6. I used to work for a movie theater and we had to count cups too.  The employees would probably get in trouble if all cups were not accounted for and their drawers were short on cash.  I know, it sounds kind of silly, but it does happen....

  7. Well that's stupid! Complain to the manager!

  8. thats dumb

they are required to give u water even if they run out of the cups..

i think u should report them

  9. yes

  10. that is jaked up they should giv u 1 even though they ran out of cups

  11. They are not required to give you a cup of water for free. You may need to pay for the cost of the cup it self. For instanse a paper cup may cost them 35 cents. If they hand them out with out cost they are loosing profit. However in the intrest of good customer servise they should have just given you a cup.

  12. should've given it in aregular sized cup. thats crazy

  13. Technically they're not required because they pay for the cups and if you didn't pay for a drink .. they have no reason to give you one

  14. they are not required to give you a free cup of water..

  15. report them....I'll bet you get something free from it...

that's just being diffcult for NO reason.....

  16. no, the cups are counted to prevent the employees from giving away free drinks. if they don't have the free ones you're out of luck.

  17. I worked there in high school . That happened a couple of times, and it was usually an elderly person who needed to take pills with their meal. I would never have denied someone a cup of water. They should have sucked it up, swallowed the cost and given you the water. How cheap.

  18. Totally, you should call the restaurant police.  The Nation Free Water Cup Act of 1913 must be upheld!
